It’s always nice to see our stars collaborate with their fans for a good cause.

For Valentine’s Day this year, Mediacorp actor Ayden Sng, 29, and his fanclub The Baeden Club, which has over 40 fans, managed to raise $1.8K for the victims of the Turkey and Syria Earthquake.

They sent in their donations to the Singapore Red Cross Humanitarian Society yesterday (Feb 13).

“We want to do something meaningful for each Valentine’s Day! We want to share and spread our love to the needies [sic]. Last Thursday morning, we decided to get donation[s] for the earthquake victims in Turkey/Syria” read the post on The Baeden Club’s Instagram account.

Ayden’s fans also mentioned that they had “collected S$1.6K within a day”, but waited for a few more days so they could “bring up the total figure in order to help more victims and their families”.

“Ever since the fan club was formed, Valentine’s Day is the day we give back to the community somehow as a way of sharing the love,” said Ayden when 8days.sg caught up with him via text earlier today.

This is not the first time Ayden has worked together with his fans to give back to the community.

Last Valentine’s Day, the actor and his fan club got together to deliver care packages consisting of snacks and household items for low-income rental flat families in the Tampines neighbourhood.

According to Ayden, his fans were the ones who picked the cause they wanted to contribute to this year.

“This is a devastating catastrophe that requires aid and support on a global scale and no matter how small of a community we are, we would still like to do something to contribute to this worthy and urgent cause,” said Ayden in his text.

He added that he is “thankful to have a community that looks outward" and that he “looks forward to [doing] more meaningful activities and initiatives with them”.

And of course, we had to ask Ayden about his Valentine’s Day plans.

Besides work, he will spend the rest of his day with his cats.

“[I’ll be] treating them to some wagyu beef,” he laughed.
