Just two days ago, Will Smith opened up about being in the “worst shape of his life” when he shared his 'dad bod' on Instagram. Turns out that was a prelude to a new health and fitness series he is launching on YouTube.

Per YouTube’s description, the six-part unscripted series — tentatively called Best Shape of My Life — will show the actor “rebuilding his body into the best shape of his life and getting his groove back along the way.”

Sharing the news as well as another 'dad bod' picture on Instagram, Smith, 52, wrote: “This is the body that carried me through an entire pandemic and countless days grazing thru the pantry.

“I love this body, but I wanna FEEL better. No more midnight muffins.”

He added, “Hope it works!”

YouTube has also described the show — produced by Smith’s Westbrook Media — as a “fun, funny, inspirational, wildly adventurous, and deeply entertaining story of Smith challenging himself to improve every aspect of his fitness, from agility to power to recovery and more.”

The show, slated to drop next year, will feature guests including athletes, scientists and experts. At press time, no official names were made available.

This is Smith’s second YouTube production. His first, 2018’s Will Smith: The Jump, chronicles Smith’s jump out of a helicopter over the Grand Canyon to mark his 50th birthday. The stunt was a big hit: It received over 17.5 million views in the first 48 hours.
