Vin Diesel has revealed that the latest Fast and Furious movie will be titled Fast X.
Diesel, who played Dominic Toretto in the high-speed franchise, took to Instagram on Wednesday (Apr 20) to reveal the movie's title (X is the Roman numeral 10) and confirm that production has started on the film.
The post was simply captioned: "Day one..."
The title seems fitting: the first movie, 2001's The Fast and the Furious, is inspired by a 1998 Vibe magazine article called 'Racer X'.
Diesel, 54, revealed earlier this month that Brie Larson had joined the cast of the movie and celebrated the news with an Instagram post.
He captioned a snap of the pair: "Clearly there is love and laughter in this image.
"What you don't see however, is the character you will be introduced to in 'Fast 10'. You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect... her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the FAMILY Brie."
Besides Larson, the other 'newbie' joining the franchise is Jason Momoa, who's rumoured to be playing one of the movie's villains. is
The first of a two-part finale, Fast X is expected to film back-to-back with the original series’ final installment. So what they are going to call the second part? Fast X2?
