Tom Cruise "Absolutely" Wants To Work With Scarlett Johansson: "It's Gonna Happen"
Scarlett Johansson previously said in an interview that she would love to work with the Top Gun: Maverick actor.
Tom Cruise would "love" to make a movie with Scarlett Johansson.
Johansson was recently asked by The Hollywood Reporter at the Asteroid City premiere who was an actor she hadn't yet worked with that she'd really like, she said, "I'd love to work with Tom Cruise."
And guess what? Cruise wants to work with her too.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in Rome, where Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One had its world premiere on Monday (June 19), Cruise said, "I'd love to make a movie with her!
In a separate interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Top Gun: Maverick actor said he was "absolutely" game to work alongside Johansson.
“She’s amazing,” he said. “There’s a great actress and a movie star.”
When asked by the outlet if he thinks they can work together on a project, Cruise immediately replied, "Yes. It's gonna happen."
He added “Look, I’ve watched her career her whole life. She’s enormously talented, very charismatic. It’d be fun. She could do everything. She could do comedy, drama, action, suspense. She’s someone that really draws you in on the screen, on camera. So absolutely, it’s gonna happen.”

Journalists who caught the movie at the premiere couldn't stop heaping praises on the Christopher McQuarrie-helmed actioner.
Collider's Perri Nemiroff tweeted, "Dead Reckoning Part One is another winner for the franchise. Yet again, the production value is THROUGH THE ROOF with some of the most well-defined and exhilarating set pieces photographed in ways that truly make you feel like you’re in the middle of the action.
"The emphasis on capturing things in camera makes a HUGE difference, and you can feel it. Also really dug the mission this time around and how the technology they’re after factors into the characters' individual arcs."
Indiewire's Kate Erbland said the film “does the best job yet of recent ‘part 1 of 2!!’ features in feeling like its own film while setting up for the next half.”
Fandango’s Erik Davis “had the absolute best time watching” the movie,hailing it “an impeccably made action film that does not stop entertaining. Each action sequence is long, crazy & intense. The story is big & sprawling, but I like how it both felt complete & left you dying for what comes next.”
Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One opens in cinemas on July 13. Asteroid City premieres here on Aug 10. — BANG SHOWBIZ
