Tanya Roberts’ Boyfriend Found Out She's Alive During A Live Interview

Tanya Roberts' longtime partner found out she was alive in the middle of an interview.

On Sunday (Jan 3), news broke that the former Bond girl, 65, had passed away after collapsing at home in California after returning home from a dog walk.

Lance O'Brien, who's been in a relationship with Tanya for nearly two decades, thought his girlfriend had died — until he received a phone call from on Monday morning while doing an interview with newsmagazine series Inside Edition.

Speaking to the doctors on the phone, Lance, 62, said: "Now, you're telling me she's alive? The hospital is telling me she is alive. They are calling me from the ICU team."

He recalled: "When she saw me and I was there, I saw her eyes open. I felt good. I said, 'Hey, her eyes are opening. Her eyes are opening.' They told me that's just a reflex."

Tanya's representative Mike Pingel also told People then that Lance was "distraught and exhausted" after hearing of her death.

He said: "The love of his life is passing away. He would have loved to have been with her every day. He's moving forward [with plans] and trying to get through today and see what happens tomorrow."

After being told that Tanya's death has been mistakenly reported, Mike issued a retraction of the previous announcement on Monday morning.

He said: "She was alive at 10am this morning. Lance received a call from the hospital saying she was not dead. Currently, it's not looking good. It's very dire. Hold her in your prayers."

The rep also said that Tanya's collapse was due "partly" to problems with her liver function. — BANG
