Oscars 2026: Where To Watch The Nominated Titles

The 98th Annual Academy Awards is just three weeks away. How many of the nominated features (and shorts) have you checked out?

All in all, more than 40 titles are vying in 24 categories, including the newly minted Best Casting — the first new competitive category since 2001’s Best Animated Feature. Yes, it’s long overdue. Next year, the Oscars will introduce the Best Stunt Design, but that’s another story for another time.

If you’re clueless about where to start — some are showing in cinemas, others on streaming services — consider One Battle After Another, Paul Thomas Anderson’s political satire with 13 nods, and Sinners, Ryan Coogler’s bluesy vampire thriller which landed the most nominations with 16.

Both films slayed at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) over the weekend and are set to rule Oscars night, since both bodies share a considerable overlap in voting membership.

The outcome will become clearer when the winners are revealed at The Producers Guild Awards (PGA) on Feb 28, The Actor Awards (formerly SAG or Screen Actors Guild Awards), Mar 1 (Netflix will livestream this Mar 2, SGT 9am), and the Writers Guild of America (WGA) Awards on Mar 8.

Both One Battle After Another and Sinners are produced by Warner Bros Discovery, currently weathering one helluva corporate hailstorm. Either film winning Best Picture would make for an ideal parting gift — not unlike the time The Shape of Water won the top prize amid the Disney takeover of its backer 20th Century Fox (now just 20th Century Studios),

The 98th Annual Academy Awards will air live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Mediacorp Channel 5 and mewatch, Mar 16, with the Red Carpet at 6.30am and the main show from 7am. It’ll also be livestreamed on Disney+, with Conan O’Brien returning as host.
