Fans don't want the outgoing US President to ruin their favourite Christmas movie.

Macaulay Culkin Backs Calls To Remove Donald Trump Cameo From Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

While US lawmakers are trying to remove President Donald Trump from office for inciting an insurrection, fans of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York are rallying for the removal of the POTUS’ seven-second cameo from the sequel.

And Macaulay Culkin is all for it.

Culkin, 40, who starred as Kevin McAllister in the Home Alone movies, weighed in on having Trump, excised from the 1992 Christmas movie on Tuesday (Jan 12), a day before the outgoing president's historic second impeachment by the House of Representatives.

One Home Alone fan tweeted, “Petition to digitally replace trump in 'home alone 2' with 40-year-old macaulay culkin.”

Culkin replied, “Sold.”

Another fan went so far as to remove Trump in the scene with Culkin and shared it on Twitter. “Due to popular request I have removed trump from home alone,” the fan wrote alongside the video.

“Bravo,” Culkin responded.

Elsewhere, there is a

Change.org petition lodged by fans to ask Disney — which owns the movie — to remove Trump from the movie and replace him with President-elect Joe Biden.

At time of writing, the petition has garnered more 180 signatures.

In Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Culkin’s Kevin bumped into Trump (playing himself) at the New York Plaza Hotel, which was then owned by the real estate mogul. In the scene, Kevin asked Trump for directions to the lobby.

This way out: Donald Trump — seen here with Macaulay Culkin — made an appearance as himself (of course) in 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York'.

Speaking to Insider on the 30th anniversary of the original Home Alone, Columbus said, “Trump said okay. We paid the fee, but he also said, ‘The only way you can use the Plaza is if I'm in the movie.’

“So we agreed to put him in the movie, and when we screened it for the first time the oddest thing happened: People cheered when Trump showed up on screen,” the director recalled. “So I said to my editor, 'Leave him in the movie. It's a moment for the audience.”

Trump's other TV and movie cameos include Zoolander, Two Weeks Notice, Sex and the City and The Nanny. Will Zoolander fans demand Trump's appearance removed as well?
