Letitia Wright appears to have deleted her social media accounts after receiving backlash for sharing an anti-vaccine video.
A search on Instagram for her account reveals the message: "Sorry, this page isn't available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed. Go back to Instagram."
And a search on Twitter brings users to a page which states: "This account doesn’t exist. Try searching for another."
On Friday, the Black Panther star tweeted her reason for posting the anti-vaxxer video on her micro-blogging account, which was titled, 'COVID-19 VACCINE, SHOULD WE TAKE IT?'
In the video, presenter Tomi Arayomi questions the legitimacy of the COVID-19 vaccine despite admitting he has no medicinal understanding of vaccines. It also expresses doubt in climate change, accuses China of spreading COVID-19 and includes transphobic comments.
Wright wrote: "My intention was not to hurt anyone, my ONLY intention of posting the video was it raised my concerns with what the vaccine contains and what we are putting in our bodies. Nothing else."
In an earlier tweet, she wrote: "if you don’t conform to popular opinions. but ask questions and think for yourself ... you get cancelled."
Wright's Marvel Cinematic Universe colleague, Don Cheadle was also drawn into the controversy with him saying he would "never defend anybody posting this.
