Letitia Wright Defends Decision To Post Anti-Vaccine Video: "My Intention Was Not To Hurt Anyone"

Letitia Wright insists her intention was "not to hurt anyone" after she shared an anti-vaccine video online.

On Thursday (Dec 3), the British-Guyanese actress, 27, found herself in hot water after sharing a 69-min video from YouTube channel On The Table, featuring Tomi Arayomi, a senior leader with Light London Church. In the video, Arayomi questions the legitimacy of the COVID-19 vaccination.

Wright's initial post — which has since been deleted — was retweeted more than 3,000 times, featured a link to the video along with the prayer hands emoji.

On Friday, Wright took to Twitter to defend her decision for posting the video which YouTube has since removed for "violating YouTube's terms of service".

She wrote, "My intention was not to hurt anyone, my ONLY intention of posting the video was it raised my concerns with what the vaccine contains and what we are putting in our bodies. Nothing else."

Wright not only drew criticism from her fans but also her Marvel Cinematic Universe colleague Don Cheadle.

Cheadle wrote, “jesus… just scrolled through. hot garbage. every time i stopped and listened, he and everything he said sounded crazy and fkkkd up. i would never defend anybody posting this. but i still won’t throw her away over it. the rest i’ll take off twitter. had no idea.”

Reacting to the barrage of criticism following her post, Wright previously responded: “if you don’t conform to popular opinions. but ask questions and think for yourself….you get cancelled.”
