Jordan Peele's Next Movie Is Coming Out On Christmas 2024

Is he making a Christmas movie or a Christmas-adjacent movie? Nobody knows.

Jordan Peele's Next Movie Is Coming Out On Christmas 2024

Jordan Peele will release his fourth film on Christmas Day next year.

The Oscar-winning filmmaker once again be teaming up with Universal Pictures for the project, which is currently slated to open on December 25, 2024.

Universal has been Peele's home since his 2017 debut, Get Out; their relationship continued with 2019's Us and last year's Nope

As it stands, there is currently no information at all on Peele's next offering, with no title, genre, or casting news available.

This is true to form based on his first three movies, with those projects ranging from horror to Western science fiction.

Whatever it is, Peele's secret project will premiere one week after James Cameron's Avatar 3 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which will both land in cinemas in the US on Dec 20, 2024. The movie's slot was previously occupied another Universal title, Jon M Chu's adaptation of the Broadway smash, Wicked, which was brought forward nearly a month earlier to Nov 27, 2024.

The hush-hush fourth film isn't the only Peele project on Universal's slate. Per Variety, the studio also scheduled an untitled Monkeypaw film (which is Peele's production company) on Sept 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, Peele previously revealed he already has "a few ideas" for his next film.

Speaking on the Empire Podcast last August, Peele said: "I don't know what's next, there are a few ideas percolating. I need to kind of sink into the world a little bit and allow the world to sort of tell me which one is the next one.

"So that's what my next couple of months will be spent doing... Sitting, watching, waiting, looking at my coffee.

"If you watch good films you'll get inspired, even if it has nothing to do with anything you want to do."

He has since teased the possibility of a Nope spin off, suggesting there could be more films in that universe after IMDb listed Michael Busch as uncredited character Nobody, who was in the first trailer but cut from the movie.

He explained: "People are doing a lot of interesting detective work, is what’s going on.

"The story of that character has yet to be told, I can tell you that. Which is another frustrating way of saying, I’m glad people are paying attention.

"I do think they will get more answers on some of these things in the future. We’re not over telling all of these stories."

As a producer, Peele's credits include Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman, the 2021 Candyman requel, the Amazon Prime Video series Hunters, and the Netflix stop-motion anime Wendall & Wild. He also produced the Spotify podcast Quiet Part Loud, a 12-part series about a has-been radio host revisiting a hate crime that happened post-9/11.
