After eight weeks of reporting nothing but uplifting and inspiring news from around the globe during the COVID-19 pandemic, John Krasinski is taking a break with his recorded from-home YouTube series Some Good News, or SGN.

The Jack Ryan actor and A Quiet Place director tweeted, “Saved the best for last! Episode 8 of @somegoodnews has to be my favorite because it celebrates the truth of what this show has always been. Never mind, always yours! There IS and ALWAYS will be…good in the wood!” Thank you all! So long but not farewell.”

Krasinski wrapped up the eighth and final episode by recapping the highlights of the show — like reuniting the original Hamilton cast for a superfan, hosting a virtual prom, officiating a virtual wedding for two Office fans, and getting Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey to offer advice to graduates.

The send-off also included some moving fan tributes from all over the world, which got the host all choked up.

He signed off by saying, “I’m John Krasinski no longer needing to remind you that no matter how hard things get, there is always good in the world. Thank you for making the show so very special, we will see you again. Good night!”
