Here’s What Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Fala Chen Wore At The Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings World Premiere

It’s finally here! Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the 25th Marvel Cinematic Universe instalment and the first to feature a predominantly Asian cast, including Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Michelle Yeoh, Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang and Ronny Chieng. The movie, which opens in Singapore cinemas on Sept 1(Sept 3 in the US), had its world premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on Aug 16 (Mon). Here’s a look at what the stars wore at the red carpet (Tony Leung and Michelle Yeoh were absent from the celebrations.) Simu Liu

Meng’er Zhang
The China-born actress, wearing an Alexander Vauthier couture dress and Jimmy Choo 'Kaylee' sandals, makes her feature film debut as Xialing, Shang-Chi's equally badass sister.
Ronny Chieng
The name is Chieng, Ronny Chieng. The Malaysian comedian and another Crazy Rich Asians alum plays Jon Jon, right-hand man at the Golden Daggers Club, run by Shang-Chi's sister Xialin (Meng'er Zhang).
Benedict Wong
Benedict Wong — back as Master Wong, Doctor Strange’s sidekick — is ready to party in his forest green jacket and a loosey-goosey olive velvet pants.
Andy Le
The YouTube martial artist showing off his moves on the red carpet; in the movie, he plays Death Dealer, Shang-Chi's former mentor.
Destin Daniel Cretton
The director of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, who was born in Hawaii (hence the maile-style ti leaf lei) and is of Japanese descent, keeps things simple with a tie-front jacket and white sneakers.
