Elliot Page has some killer abs.
The Oscar-nominated actor, 34, posted a shirtless photo on Monday (May 24) on Instagram to document his first time swimming in men’s swim trunks. It’s also his first shirtless snapshot since revealing he underwent top surgery to remove his breast issue.
He captioned the post, “Trans bb’s first swim trunks #transjoy and #transisbeautiful”.
The photo has so far garnered more than 2 million likes.
Page told Winfrey that since having his breasts removed, he felt happiest when he stepped out of the shower.
He said, “Getting out of the shower and the towel’s around your waist and you’re looking at yourself in the mirror and you’re just like, ‘There I am.’ And I’m not having the moment where I'm panicked.
“It's being able to touch my chest and feel comfortable in my body for the... probably the first time.”
Page came out as transgender in an emotional Instagram post in December. Shortly after the announcement, Netflix quickly amended his name on its credits for The Umbrella Academy, as well as other productions such as Tallulah and Tales of the City. (Disney+ has also reflected the changes, but on HBO Go, Page’s name in the Inception credits is still listed as ‘Ellen Page’.)
Page is currently filming Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy, the superhero series where he plays Vanya Hargreeves, a cisgender woman whose superpower involves unleashing force through the use of sound. Variety reported in December that there are no plans to change the character’s gender.
Netflix has yet to announce the launch date for Season 3.
