Colin Farrell says Jeremy Renner is "doing good" following his recent snow-plow accident.

Farrell was walking the carpet at The National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala on Sunday (Jan 8) at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City when he gave Entertainment Tonight an update about his friend and S.W.A.T. co-star's condition after being crushed by a snowcat on New Year's Day.

Asked about Renner's health, Farrell told Entertainment Tonight's Rachel Smith: "Yeah, I've been in touch. He's doing good, I believe.

"All prayers are with him."

Farrell famously paid tribute to Renner at the 2010 Oscars when he was nominated for Best Actor for The Hurt Locker by joking about their trip to Mexico.

"Which I wish I remembered more of! We shared a bed," Farrell said onstage, "and a pillow! And before any rumors start, we were only spooning!"

Over the weekend Renner paid tribute to the medical team who have been looking after him over the last week.

He shared a photo on Instagram of himself in his hospital bed, with a number of medical professionals standing around him and he wrote: "Thank you Renowned Medical ICU team for beginning this journey."
The accident came after Jeremy tried to help remove a stranded family member’s car from the snow near his home in Tahoe.

Doing okay: Renner posted a new recovery update on his Instagram Story on Friday, thanking the ICU team who have helped him begin his healing journey.

The Hurt Locker star was struck by a snowplow and left “completely crushed” by the vehicle, according to a 911 call made after the incident.

A doctor — who lived nearby — fixed a tourniquet to his leg, which was bleeding heavily, until the actor was airlifted to the hospital, where he was kept in an intensive care unit in critical condition, before he underwent surgery for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries.

The Washoe County sheriff, Darin Balaam, said earlier this week: “At this point in the investigation... we believe this is a tragic accident."

Farrell won Best Actor at Sunday's National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala for his performance in the dark comedy The Banshees of Inisherin. He's up for Best Actor (Motion Picture - Musical/Comedy) at Wednesday's Golden Globe Awards.
