It’s official! The 18-year-old American singer will be performing the theme song from the upcoming James Bond movie No Time to Die. The song was penned by Eilish with her brother and musical collaborator Finneas.

In a press statement, Eilish, who’s up for six Grammys next week — including Best Album for When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? — said, “It feels crazy to be part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honour. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m in shock.”

At 18, Eilish is the youngest artist in history to ever record a Bond theme song. Will she continue the winning streak of the past two Bond songs? Adele’s ‘Skyfall’, and Sam Smith’s ‘Writing’s on the Wall’ for Spectre won their performers/co-writers the Best Original Song Oscar. No pressure.

The announcement came a week after Hans Zimmer stepped in to score No Time to Die after original composer Dan Romer left the project reportedly over — wait for it — “creative differences”. It’s the first time in the Bond movies’ 58-year history that a composer has been replaced during post-production.

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, No Time to Die is Daniel Craig's fifth and final appearance as the British spy. He stars alongside Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, Lea Seydoux, Jeffrey Wright, and Ralph Fiennes.

No Time to Die opens in cinemas Apr 9. The 62nd Grammy Awards airs Jan 27, 'live' at 9am, Fox Life (Singtel TV Ch 301 & StarHub Ch 501).
