That post had people speculating she would unveil the release date of her new album. But that turned out to be a red herring. Responding to queries, Adele wrote, "Of course not. Corona ain't over. I'm quarantining. Wear a mask and be patient."

Earlier this week, Adele’s manager Jonathan Dickins told Music Week magazine, “[the new album] isn't coming in September, it'll be ready when it's ready. We're all in the same boat, you're doing stuff and then all of a sudden, the world stops. It'll come when it's ready. I can't put a date on that yet. We have music, but we're still working."

Adele last shared a photo of herself on Instagram in May where she celebrated her 32nd birthday by showing off her slim figure after losing a reported 45kg. Her last album — her third  — came out in 2015 with the release of 25 which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned four singles, including the No.1 smash 'Hello'.
