Netizen Sneaks Pics Of Zhang Ziyi On Plane, Internet Finds Out Her Jeans Cost S$1.3K

Some people have all the luck when it comes to running into famous celebs. Case in point: This netizen who was seated across the aisle from Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi, 44, during a flight.

The netizen documented her chance meeting with the star on Chinese social media app Xiao Hong Shu, in which she added a few sneakily-taken pics.

According to the netizen, she did not realise she was on the same flight as Ziyi until a flight attendant “enthusiastically” rushed to speak to the actress several times.

Ziyi apparently realised that the netizen had recognised her, so she turned and smiled at her.

“I didn’t disturb her so I just smiled back. I thought to myself if it was Zhou Xun or Song Hye Kyo, or Zhou Yun or even Tang Wei, I might not have been able to control myself!” wrote the netizen, whom we assume is a bigger fan of the actresses she mentioned.

Still, she did sneak in some photos of Ziyi to prove that the encounter really did happen.

Ziyi was seen dressed casually in white shirt, jeans, and a bucket hat. Some eagle-eyed netizens wasted no time in pointing out the cost of her jeans, which turned out to have a not-so-casual price tag.

According to them, Ziyi’s jeans are from Italian luxury brand Brunello Cucinelli, and they cost around 7200 yuan (S$1.3K) a pair. 

"She's been crazy about the brand for the past two years and the colour and make of Brunello Cucinelli jeans are very unique," said one netizen when asked how he knew the brand of Ziyi's jeans.
