Zeng Guocheng Unhappy About Paying His Kids’ S$65K-A-Year School Fees In Full 'Cos They're Doing Home-Based Learning
The Taiwanese host's son and daughter reportedly attend an international school in Taipei.
If you had to describe 2020 in one word, what word would you choose? For Taiwanese host Zeng Guocheng (or Sam Tseng), his adjective of choice is “melancholy”. The 52-year-old and father-of-two recently filmed a special episode of his talk show, A Wonderful Word, where he engaged with a number of special guests, including television presenters and journalists on this very topic.
Guocheng shared with a sigh: “[To me, 2020’s full of] melancholy. I lost a lot of friends. My kids are doing home-based learning, but I still have to pay their full school fees. Melancholy.”

His son and daughter reportedly attend an international school in Taiwan and reports claim that he forks out about NT$1.4mil (S$65,000) annually for their school fees.
According to Apple Daily, the school reportedly still requires its students to attend online lessons from home, instead of going to school for classes despite Taiwan’s low COVID-19 case count. However, the students are still paying full school fees, making it a point of contention for the star.

He also went on to share his thoughts on the late Alien Huang’s passing, musing: “I hope [his soul] doesn’t spend too long in this realm, so that he can be reincarnated faster. I wonder if he’s doing good over there? If he’s happy? I really don’t know.”
