Fans of Wu Chun are well acquainted with his daughter, Nei Nei, after the duo starred in 2014 Chinese reality TV show Dad is Home. But Wu Chun had always kept his son’s mug hidden behind strategically-placed Meitu Xiu Xiu-ed glasses on his Weibo… until now.
Cute to the Max
Is this the face of Asia’s next big heartthrob? Wu Chun recently revealed his three-year-old son’s face for the first time, and netizens have been going gaga over the future heart-breaker. Many netizens have said that the cherub with anime-like large peepers “is even more handsome than dad”. Others have commented that “good genes run in the family” and “I want to give birth to a daughter to steal Max away.” The big reveal was to drum up publicity for Max’s first small screen outing. He’ll be taking part in the fifth season of popular Chinese reality TV show Dad, Where Are We Going?, alongside his dad and sister. Wu Chun had shared this pic on his Weibo two days ago (Sep 6) with the caption mimicking Max going, “What am I doing? Where am I going?” Places, we say, judging from how he has already won the Internet’s heart over — “Wu Chun son” topped Weibo’s search engine on the very same day.
From bad boy to doting dad
In other dad-related news, Edison Chen’s Chinese model girlfriend, Shu Pei Qin, recently shared on Instagram a pic of Edison cradling their five-month-old daughter, Alaia. In the pic, Edison looked every inch the loving father — a stark contrast to his hell-raising, bad boy image. In a recent interview, the 36-year-old revealed that since the birth of his daughter, he feels very happy every day and that he hopes he "can be a good father to my daughter in this chaotic world”.
To wed or not to wed
Three days ago (Sep 5), Edison Instagrammed this pic of his kiddo self (far left) alongside Alaia (middle), with the caption “Like father, like daughter????”. (Is it just us, or does Alaia bear an uncanny resemblance to Shu Pei?) Though once known for being a playboy, fatherhood has tamed the notorious bad boy. No wonder he mused: “It’s true that a daughter is her dad’s lover in their past lives.” But don’t bet on Ed settling down anytime soon. “Marriage is just a piece of paper, I think what’s most important is our relationship,” he said, jokingly adding, “We'll sell the exclusive to the media with the highest bidding price, okay?” Any takers?
