Woman Raises Banner For Jay Chou At Mayday's Concert

Did she know whose gig she was at?
Woman Raises Banner For Jay Chou At Mayday's Concert

Want to know how to stand out from a sea of 22,000 fans at a concert?

You raise a banner with the name of a celebrity not performing on stage.

That was what a fan did at Taiwanese band Mayday's concert at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas last weekend.

Erm, wrong idol?

After Mayday's two-night gig in Sin City, the band's official Instagram account shared some snippets of the tour on their Instagram Stories.

Among the IGS was a clip of two young women holding banners, one with the words 'New York' and the other 'Jay Chou'. Unsurprisingly, they were by spotted lead vocalist Ashin.

In the video, Ashin could be heard teasing them: "You do know that today is Mayday's concert right? Did you buy tickets for the wrong day? There's no refund."

Those fans then brazenly made a song request, to which bassist Masa jested: "You put down that vengeance-filled banner first."

Ashin later commented on the IGS, joking: "Someone went to the wrong concert! We won't refund the tickets okay." He also tagged Jay in the post.

The Mandopop King then responded, saying: "Haha, all the best for your concert."
