Woman Fixes Her "Invisible" Ears With Ear Correction Procedure; Now Has A Whole New Look

Taiwanese influencer Ma Xi (makihagami) had ears set so far back that, from the front, she looked like she had no ears. But that's all changed now. 

The 30-year-old, who was part of Taiwanese YouTuber crew NSFW, recently posted an Instagram reel documenting her experience at a beauty clinic in Taipei, where she underwent a cosmetic procedure for her ears. 

Prior to that, Ma Xi filmed a video of herself showing the front view of her head, and it's not an exaggeration when we say her ears couldn't be seen at all. 

Her friend teased her for looking like Thomas the train. You know, the blue train with a face from the cartoon Thomas & Friends.

"Everyone thinks there's no big deal about having no ears, but that's not the case. She has a lot of trouble taking passport photos," her friend elaborated. One of the requirements for passport photos is that one's ears have to be visible in the pic. 

Ma Xi underwent an ear correction procedure at an aesthetics clinic in Taiwan. "We used the ear correction procedure to adjust the angle of the ear's cartilage, changing the shape of the ear," said her doctor.

According to her doctor, the results of the procedure are expected to last about a year, but her ears "will not completely go back to what it was before" even after the year passes. She will still have to go for follow-up sessions to maintain the results.

"There's a huge difference in my front view!" Ma Xi exclaimed after the procedure. And we have to agree with her. 

"It's so strange, I'm obviously using the same camera, and I see the same face. But [my face] looks smaller, and my eyes look bigger now!" she quipped. 

She added: "My mum didn't bless me with a nice pair of ears, but the doctor has given them to me through minor aesthetic adjustments! I never knew what a normal pair of ears looked like, 'cos I've never seen them, but now I finally get to see it for myself."
