Woman Captures ‘Leslie Cheung’ On Camera In Recent Video

Cantopop icon Leslie Cheung died in 2003 at the age of 46 after jumping off the 24th floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.

So just imagine this Xiaohongshu user’s shock when she saw 'Leslie' in a recent video.

The OP was at a ballet performance at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre some months ago, but only recently went through the videos she took that day.

One clip she filmed was of the audience cheering and playing with balloons and amongst the crowd was a man who looked eerily like Leslie.

She wrote: “This man was sitting close by, and his side profile really looks a lot like Leslie Cheung. I watched this on repeat, and the more I look at him, the more he resembles Leslie."

She even said that it was "just like Leslie had come back to Hong Kong". 

Netizens were stunned by what they saw, with many agreeing that the man looked exactly like Leslie.

“Is this not Leslie himself? I can’t believe it,” read one comment.

Of course, more than a few of Leslie's lookalikes have been spotted over the years, but even we will admit that we had to do a double take when it came to this guy.

Responding to comments asking why she did not film the man for longer, the OP revealed she was simply trying to capture the atmosphere, and did not notice the lookalike in person.

“I only saw him when I was looking through my videos, and I really regret not seeing him with my own eyes,” she added.

Well maybe some things are best looked at through a lens?
