Remember in 2020, when there was a lot of talk about a ‘pickup artist training camp’, that both Mrs Wilber Pan Luna Xuan, 28, and Mrs Aaron Kwok Moka Fang, 34, were suspected to be a part of?

After singer Wilber Pan, 41, announced his marriage to Luna, who was then known as ‘China’s prettiest air stewardess’, billionaire heir Wang Sicong wrote an exposé which linked Luna and Moka to a mysterious lady known only as ‘Amy’.

For those not in the know, here’s the tea: Amy was rumoured to be in charge of a ‘pickup artist training camp’ for women who wanted to marry celebrities. And many believed she was instrumental in helping Luna and Moka land superstar husbands.

We’ll spare you the recount of the whole saga, but you can read about how some sleuthy netizens drew links between Amy and the two women here.

So… you may be wondering: what now?

Luna recently decided to hit back at haters and respond to the rumours, yes, two years after the allegations.

Luna did not feel the need to refute the rumours back then

After being MIA from Weibo for quite some time, Luna took to her Xiao Hong Shu page, which is a basically the Chinese equivalent to Pinterest, to refute the rumours and explain the relationship between her and Amy.

She wrote: “Amy is from Nanjing and born in the late 90s, and we are from the same hometown. When [I] was in Nanjing University, I went to the TV station to audition for a variety show and she was working for Jiangsu TV at that time. That’s how we got to know each other.”

Luna also revealed that since they were from the same hometown and were both new to Shanghai, she and Amy often hung out together. However, she also said they haven't met each other “for around six years, since 2015”.

Amy on the other hand, also once refuted the rumours about the ‘pickup artist training camp’, saying that if it was so easy to start a camp for those who wanted to marry famous people, "do you think those Heavenly Kings are fools"?

Luna then took time to reply those who had cast doubt about her career as an air stewardess.

“Some netizens said that I was an air stewardess only for a short period of time, I don’t think six years is considered short, right,” she wrote.

She also said she wasn’t the kind of person to live her life online. “If I wanted to give an explanation to these baseless rumours, I would’ve published it long ago. My life is mine, I’m contented as long as there are people who believe me, love me and support me.”
