Who Did Eddie Peng Secretly Give Money To?
Hint: It's a guy.
Remember Eddie Peng's 2011 breakout movie Jump Ashin!, where he played an aspiring gymnast? Now the same director is doing a sorta sequel, albeit a documentary, about a different real-life Taiwanese gymnast. At the film's press conference, Eddie Peng showed up to offer his support to the director and his brother Lin Yu-hsin , the gymnast Eddie portrayed in Jump Ashin! According to Hsin, Eddie is a big supporter of the national gymnastics team, whom he met during the filming of the 2011 movie, and sponsors them top quality apparel. Hsin also said Eddie has shown them continuous support for the past six years.

Hsin also revealed that the 35-year-old actor gave 100,000 TWD (S$4519) to an unnamed gymnast to receive treatment for his injuries. A producer then cut in saying that the information shouldn't be shared, to which Hsin said, "It's nothing to be shy about. It's just what friends do for each other." Awww. Director Lin Yu-hsien then said Eddie has been sponsoring Taiwanese universities' sports teams every year since 2011, and frequently sends top notch Adidas products (which Eddie is endorsing) over.

Eddie's humble reply when asked about him sponsoring athletes? "Helping one another is what everyone should be doing. It's nothing special. I matured a lot working with these guys, so if I can do something I won't spare any effort."
Certainly a refreshing piece of news for Eddie, who was recently plagued by rumours that he's seeing very rich and very male Chinese investor Zhang Lei. Eddie has vehemently denied the rumours.
