What Did Chris Hemsworth, Sebastian Stan & Joseph Schooling Tell Us With Under A Minute To Spare?

We know Joseph Schooling looks good in a speedo but no one told us how good he would look in a suit. Which was the consensus among the journos when he strode up to us with a wave, a big bright smile, an enough charisma to fill an Olympic-sized pool.

When we asked Singapore’s first Olympic gold-medalist if he ever expected to be a bona fide fashion person now that he’s a Hugo Boss ambassador, he said with a sheepish smile: “No, never. This is something else isn’t it? You see it like the Oscars in Hollywood and stuff and this is my Oscars, I guess. It’s unreal. It’s different and I’m excited for it.”

So what’s tougher? Emoting for the camera or training for the Olympics? “They are both tough. But I have to say training for the Olympics, for sure.”

If your only impression of Sebastian Stan aka The Winter Soldier is him looking all emo, with his face all beardy and his hair long and greasy, well, you have got to meet him in person.

Dude cleans up real well and looks not a day older than when he was playing caddish lothario Carter Baizen in Gossip Girl (is this reference too dated for all you millennials?)

He was recently in the news for trolling Tom Holland’s final line in Avengers: Infinity War. Someone had asked him what Bucky Barnes had said to Cap before he (spoiler alert!) got turned to dust, and Sebastian replied, to raucous laughter, “Steve, I don’t feel so good.” Which was a play on Tom Holland’s self-improvised final words as Spider-Man to Iron Man.

So when we asked Sebastian who’s next on his troll list, the first thing the actor said was, “Who’s Tom Holland?” He’s joking, of course. “By the way, I don’t hate Tom Holland,” he laughed, quickly clarifying himself. “He’s actually very talented and I really like him a lot. I just need to remind people of that once in a while ’cos people can take me too seriously (laughs).”

Oh, Chris. What can we say about the man who is Thor that hasn’t already been said?

Yes, he is really that dreamy, handsome, muscular, and [include fawning superlative here] up close. He has such an electric presence he can probably light up the National Stadium just by smiling at it. Which explains why the tiny hairs on our arms stood up with static the second he walked towards us.

He’s also a very funny guy and has been showing his brilliant comic timing and his ability to laugh at himself in his recent movies like Thor: Ragnarok, Vacation and Infinity War to great acclaim.

“Oh, thanks,” he says when we mention that. So who around him finds his jokes the funniest? “My brothers are probably sick of it. My parents are usually used to it. My wife is still somewhat entertained… But you know give her a year or two (laughs).”

What about his kids? “They think I’m pretty funny. That’s what I tell myself anyway (smiles).”
