Wang Xiaofei Severs Ties With Mum For Getting Him Banned On Douyin After Ex-Wife Barbie Hsu's Death

Ever since Barbie Hsu's sudden passing from influenza-related pneumonia last week (Feb 2), her former mother-in-law Zhang Lan has been doing nothing but cause trouble.
It has gotten so bad that Barbie's ex-husband Wang Xiaofei announced that he is cutting all ties with his mother.
It all started when Zhang Lan's godson, an influencer named Wo Shi Xia Xiao Jian, went on a Xiaohongshu live stream to claim that Xiaofei had paid for the private jet that flew Barbie's ashes back to Taiwan from Japan last Wednesday (Feb 5).
It was a lie, of course.
Zhang Lan had liked Wo Shi Xia Xiao Jian's post, which led netizens to believe she had fed him the lie.
The claim has since been refuted by Barbie's younger sister Dee Hsu, and the private airline company confirmed that it was Dee and her husband Mike Hsu who paid for the flight.
A day after the lie was exposed, Xiaofei was heard yelling at his mum while she was in the middle of a live stream.
"Who did I offend for you to say I chartered the flight? Why are you always like that?" he shouted, before hurling vulgarities at her.
Zhang Lan, on the other hand, denied her involvement with the lie.
The incident eventually led to the indefinite banning of Xiaofei and Zhang Lan's Douyin accounts for "maliciously creating news for profits" and for "encouraging the dissemination of fake news".
The ruling prompted Xiaofei to share a picture of Zhang Lan, stating: “I may be unfilial, but I absolutely cannot support someone like her!”
"She is my mother, but our values clash completely. I'm a jerk, I've let everyone down. Today, I will be severing all ties with her," averred Xiaofei, adding that his mum has "made enough money to last her a few lifetimes" anyway.
Xiaofei also announced he would be suing Douyin for terminating his account as he was not involved in Zhang Lan and Wo Shi Xia Xiao Jian's lies regarding the private jet.
However netizens are not buying his sob story at all, with many scoffing that this isn't the first time Xiaofei said he wants to cut ties with his mother.
Seriously, can the Wangs just get a grip already?
