Wang Ta Lu Seen Hiding From Cameras While Fellow Army Boy Greg Hsu Performs At Military Event

Earlier this year, Taiwanese actor Wang Ta Lu, 33, made headlines for attempting to evade compulsory military service. He was later arrested and was made to enlist in March. 

More reports have surfaced, and 11 other male celebs, including Lollipop's William Liao and Nine Chen, have been named for allegedly faking medical conditions to evade conscription. 

One celeb who did not run from his military duties, however, is actor Greg Hsu. The 34-year-old hunk, who enlisted last August, even made the news for how popular he is amongst female soldiers. 

Greg, who is set to be discharged from the military in August, was recently seen performing at a military awards ceremony for enlistees who are performing alternative civilian service. 

And guess who happened to be in the audience? Yup, Wang Ta Lu. 

While Greg performed enthusiastically on stage, much of the attention was on Ta Lu, or rather, how miserable he looked. 

According to reports, Ta Lu, who initially had his mask pulled down to his chin, quickly pulled it back up to cover his face when he noticed he was being filmed. 

He was also seen trying to evade the cameras by hiding behind the guy seated next to him. At times he would lower his head to use his phone. At one point, he even looked like he was asleep. 

When Ta Lu did look up, he appeared nonchalant, though some netizens described it as "loneliness". 

Many were tickled by the comparison between Greg and Ta Lu. While one looked to be having the best time performing, the other seemed to be counting the days till his discharge.
