Wang Leehom Reportedly Made S$7mil From Teaching Singing Online In One Month
Wang Leehom’s music app, Yue Xue, where he teaches his subscribers how to sing, has gone the way of many of his songs: it’s a massive hit. Despite earlier reports that there were pirated versions of his singing classes offered illegally for just $10, it’s clear that netizens want the real deal.

According to reports, since Yue Xue opened for registration on January 22 – lessons officially started in February – more than 20,000 people have signed up to get taught by Leehom.

Lessons go for NT$7330 (S$348) a month, which means that the 44-year-old father-of-three has raked in some NT$147mil (S$7mil) in the first 30 days alone.

The success of Yue Xue – the app's name can be translated loosely as ‘Monthly Learning’ – has worried many of Leehom’s fans, most of whom think that the singer will forgo his pop star career and focus on being a tech tycoon. After all, he hasn’t released a new album in four years.
