Mandopop star Wang Leehom has been keeping a low profile ever since his very ugly divorce battle with estranged wife Lee Jinglei last December.

The 46-year-old, who saw his nice-guy image go up in flames after he was accused of cheating on Jinglei, is currently on a hiatus to spend more time with his parents and three kids, daughters Jiali, eight, Jiana, six, and son Jiayao, four.

Leehom’s church friend recently shared with Mirror Media that the star moved from his Taipei work studio at Jinhua Street to his office at Civic Boulevard, in order to be closer to the family home where Jinglei and the kids live.

According to the friend, Leehom can see the home from his office and that every night, he would wait for the kids to turn in before going to bed.

However, it turns out that it is illegal to live in an office space.

According to reports, Leehom was fined a “six-digit sum” (or at least S$4.2K) for “illegal occupancy” as well as for carrying out unapproved renovation works after neighbours lodged a complaint against him.

The friend said Leehom was very affected by this as he wanted to live near his kids so he could pop by whenever they need him.

Apart from the minor setback, he appears to be doing okay.

Singer Wang Hong En shared in August that he and pal Blackie Chen would occasionally meet up with Leehom for meals and the latter seems “pretty much the same”.

"He is just a little thinner, so he looks a little haggard," said Hong En. Leehom also sports shoulder length hair now.

He's still focusing on music

Leehom has also been devoting his time to growing his side hustle, online learning app Yuexue which offers virtual singing and songwriting classes.

The app was so popular when it launched in January 2021 that it spawned pirated versions.
