Taiwanese singer Wakin Chau, 63, who is known for hit songs like ‘I Am Gonna Marry You Tomorrow’ (明天我要嫁給你) and ‘Friends’ (朋友), recently performed at the Hai An Qun Xing (海安群星) concert in Jiangsu, China.
After completing his set, Wakin was seen leaving the venue when he slipped and fell on the event’s slippery ground. It had rained during the concert.
He landed on his bum and stayed splayed on the floor for a good second. He had a pained expression on his face as his staff gathered around to help him up.
The entire incident was caught on camera, and the clip soon went viral online, with many wondering if Wakin might have injured his spine.
Reports say he was immediately sent to the hospital for a check-up, and thankfully, he did not sustain any serious injuries from the tumble.
He would later take to social media to assure fans of his well-being, writing: “I had a small fall…I’m fine! Thanks to everyone for your concern. It’s rainy and the roads are wet, be careful all! The rain halted during the concert today, and that was the best possible scenario. In short, I am okay, there’s no need to worry about me!”
