TWICE’s Tzuyu Donated 50 Respirators & Ady An Raised S$295k To Purchase Medical Supplies To Help Taiwan's Fight Against COVID-19
Many other celebs have also stepped up to do their part.

Janet's been really busy 'cos of these donation drives
Recently, Janet shared on social media that after collating the latest donations, she’d managed to donate a total of 176 powered air-purifying respirators (PAPR) to the hospitals in Taiwan as part of her second donation drive. These devices are to protect healthcare workers from contaminated air while they're at work.

Tzuyu definitely didn't think twice about donating
Among the list of donors is Korean girlgroup TWICE’s Tzuyu. According to Janet, the Taiwanese singer managed to get into contact with her through Taiwanese host Matilda Tao, ‘cos she “wanted to do a little something to help Taiwan”.
“The adorable Tzuyu donated a total of 50 PAPR devices in one go, she’s really too kind”, Janet wrote. She also added that Tzuyu, who celebrated her 22nd birthday on June 14, said that this was “part of her birthday wish”.
Apart from Tzuyu, Janet also donated 46 devices, while Matilda and her husband, Li Liren, donated 20 devices. Dee, who was previously criticised by netizens for “donating too little” to Janet’s previous donation drive, also donated another 20 devices.

Ady's doing her part too
Meanwhile, Ady, who’s currently based in Macau with her billionaire businessman husband, Levo Chen, mobilised her own friends and family to help out for her donation drive. The actress shared on Instagram that she’d asked her father, who’s currently in Taiwan, to help source for PAPR devices to purchase.
According to Ady, there’s currently a shortage of these devices in Taiwan, which was why they only manage to obtain 149 devices after an extensive search.
Therefore, she purchased another 61 devices to ship over, along with 210 sets of hoods, so that the machines can be used by two front-liners simultaneously.
China Times reported that Ady had raised a total of NT$6.15mil (S$295,000) through her donation drive.
