Fans of the hit reality show, Where Are We Going? Dad will soon have a new show to sate their needs, after the Chinese government’s decision to restrict the number of child stars in the industry, cast a shadow over future seasons of the show.
When I Grow Up has been advertised as a ‘grown-up’ version of Where Are We Going, Dad?. The show is set to feature celebrity parents and their adult children, like Hong Kong actor Tony Leung Ka-fei and his 28-year-old twin daughters, Chloe and Nikki, Chinese singer Shin, and his 17-year-old daughter, nicknamed Xiao Wan Zi, Chinese actor Elvis Tsui and his 19-year-old son, Figo Tsui and Chinese actor Wu Gang and his 23-year-old son, Wu Yu Qing. Rounding up the star-studded cast list is Chinese boyband UNINE member, singer-actor Li Wenhan and his non-celebrity father, Li Jian.
On August 26, the production team posted a number of pictures from Chloe and Nikki’s childhood, showing off the close relationship between the twins and Tony. In the pictures, the trio can be seen engaging in a host of different activities, from swimming, to horseback riding and visiting the Great Wall of China.
After seeing the pictures, netizens shared their excitement over the inclusion of Tony and his twin daughters, who have previously made headlines for their good looks. Many also commented on the wide variety of activities that the twins were seen participating in, praising Tony and his wife, Hong Kong actress Jiang Jia Nian for bringing up their kids well.
