Hongkong singer Hana Kuk has raised eyebrows after she claimed in a recent interview that she has no money to pay her taxes.

The 33-year-old is the voice behind the theme songs of TVB blockbusters like Big White Duel, Forensic Heroes IV and Deep In The Realm Of Conscience, and netizens believe that she was probably paid a handsome amount each time.

However, with entertainment events being cancelled for the foreseeable future because of the COVID-19 outbreak, Hana revealed that she has not had any income for several months as all her jobs have been put on hold.

“But I’m not the only one who doesn’t have any jobs on hand,” she said. “My friends also have had to deal with being laid off.”
