The Sam Willows Are Taking A Break: "I Wish I Had More Drama For You But We're All Still Good Friends"

Millennials in Singapore got their hearts broken on Monday (May 27) when each of the four members of local band The Sam Willows posted farewell messages on their Instagram accounts, announcing that the beloved band is going on a hiatus.

“What is going on?” “Where are you guys going?” “We need an explanation!” their fans cried on social media. And earlier today (May 28), the band posted a message on their official IG saying that "this isn’t goodbye".

"Hey Willows fam, thank you for [seven] beautiful years, " the group comprising of siblings Benjamin and Narelle Kheng, Jonathan Chua and Sandra Riley Tang wrote. "We’ve loved every single moment with you, growing up, singing these songs and making these memories. You’re our all time highs. This isn’t goodbye. we’re taking a break, which has come as abruptly for us. But right now, we need to take a little step back to reflect, to grow, [and] to come back fuller. Keep us close — keep our music going, keep up the silly dancing, and we’ll see you all soon.
