If you were into Mandarin dance music back in the early noughties, you would definitely know Thai pop duo China Dolls. Nope, doesn't ring a bell? What about Zhong Guo Wa Wa? Ah, there you go.

The group, which was formed in 1999, was made up of Pailin "Hwa Hwa" Rattanasangsatian and Supachaya "Bell" Lattisophonkul". In 2000, they released their debut Mandarin album Girls With Single Eyelids, with the title track becoming one of the most played songs that year.

Surely, you remember the tune, which was first released in 1999 as a Thai track called 'Muay Nee Kah'. If not, here's a refresher: 

China Dolls' catchy, dance beat-heavy songs, which were sung in both Thai and Chinese, found them fame in China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore.

So what are Hwa Hwa and Bell, who are now 42 and 40 respectively, up to these days?
