Thai Actor Clarifies He Won S$229K Instead of S$922K After Saying He Hit Jackpot With Lottery Ticket
The 33-year-old got the winning ticket from a jewellery company after ordering something from them.
Thai actor Big M, 33, has taken to Instagram to clarify a stroke of good luck that fell upon him recently.
Earlier, the actor had posted a picture of the prize pool for a government lottery, excitedly announcing that he had the winning ticket.
From the picture Big M posted, it was shown that there were four first prize winners, who will walk away with THB$24.15mil (S$922K) each, as well as various other prizes.
In his caption, Big M even questioned if he was dreaming, joking that he almost slapped himself in his shock.
Thanks to his IG post, many netizens assumed that Big M had won the first prize, and started congratulating the actor on his sudden winfall.
However, Big M issued a clarification soon after, quickly dispelling reports that he’d won, um, big.
The actor revealed that he did not win the first prize. Rather, he won a consolation prize worth THB$6mil (S$229K). Still a massive win, no?
He went on to reveal that he got the winning ticket after placing an order with a jewellery company. In fact, Big M didn’t even know that he’d won, until he received a call from the boss while he was about to attend an event.
As a result, Big M quickly posted the picture online to share his disbelief, but his lack of clarity inadvertently caused a misunderstanding.
Big M, who made his showbiz debut in 2012, is best known for his lead roles in popular Thai romance dramas, like 2022’s Jao Sao Jamloei.
