Tavia Yeung & Him Law Never Let Their 2 Kids Have Junk Food

Remember when Hong Kong celeb couple Tavia Yeung, 44, and Him Law, 39, revealed that they slept in separate rooms when filming 2022 Hong Kong drama Modern Dynasty?

Turns out, the unique sleeping arrangement is more common for the couple than you think.

The actors, who began dating after filming 2012 hit TVB drama The Hippocratic Crush, tied the knot in 2016. They now have two kids, Hera, three, and Eden, two.

In a recent interview on Carina Lau’s lifestyle show Jia Ren Zi You Yue, the couple shared more about their sleeping arrangement. 

“[It’s] because of work. She doesn't want the kids to disturb me when they wake up,” explained Him.

Tavia added: "He has a tight work schedule. He wakes up early and sleeps late every day. Sometimes when he has time off, he comes to the children's room to accompany me."

While the couple is known for their loving relationship, things were not always smooth sailing for them.

Him revealed that they once had such a heated argument that they almost broke up.

"In the past, I wanted to resolve arguments the same day, but she didn't. She wanted to wait until the next day. I couldn't accept that. I wanted answers that day. Now I've changed,” said Him.

While chatting about Him’s philandering role in TVB drama Happy Ever After?, which has won fans with its nuanced storyline and boundary-pushing scenes, Carina asked Tavia if she was ever worried about her husband cheating on her.

Tavia replied matter-of-factly: "From the time I knew him, I told him that if one day he has a change his heart, go ahead, but don't expect me to forgive you."

Tavia is equally no-nonsense when it comes to their kids and discipline, so it’s no surprise that she wears the pants at home.

“My daughter jokes that mummy is the queen and daddy is the king. But I told her there is no king in this family,” said Him, before describing himself as the “operations manager”.

The couple also shared that they have different parenting philosophies.

Him prefers a more natural approach, while Tavia is very strict with their kids, especially when it comes to their health and diet.

In fact, she is so particular about what they eat that they have never had junk food.

When Carina heard this, she exclaimed: "Really? Why? Poor kids."
