Taiwanese Star Gui Gui Hosted A 5-Minute Live Stream From Her Shower

Taiwanese singer-actress Gemma Wu, better known as Gui Gui, recently hosted a live stream on her Instagram that quickly attracted over 1,000 viewers… even though she was only live for five minutes.

And it was all 'cos the 33-year-old was broadcasting from her bathroom. 

Once the stream started, viewers were treated to a view of Gui Gui's bathroom sink, with the star explaining that she was about to take a shower. Though her phone camera was strategically angled to prevent any exposure, fans were worried that Gui Gui would slip up. 

It also didn’t help that Gui Gui was giving a play-by-play account of what she was doing, and even showing which article of clothing she’d taken off.

But this doesn’t mean that Gui Gui was taking her own sweet time though.

Her shower, including the time it took for her to take her clothes off, only lasted about five minutes.

Netizen reaction to Gui Gui's live stream was mixed. Many criticised her for what they deemed a “bald-faced attempt to remain relevant”. 

Gui Gui's taking the criticism in her stride, with the star replying that there was “only the sound of running water” in her stream. 

Others worried that Gui Gui could’ve exposed herself, commenting that the tiles in her bathroom could have shown her reflection.

For her part, Gui Gui seems to be pretty satisfied with the live stream, sharing on her Instagram Story that there were over 1,000 viewers tuning in at one point.

“So many people’s here to listen to me shower? Or are you guys questioning how I showered so quickly? That’s right, that’s just how fast I am,” she wrote, adding that this was the “most ridiculous live stream”.
