Taiwanese Singer’s 76-Year-Old Retired Doctor Dad Returns To Frontline To Help In Fight Against COVID-19
What an inspiration.

One doctor who answered the call is the 76-year-old father of Taiwanese singer Ying-ying Shih, a Golden Melody Award nominee who has sung backup for stars like Wang Leehom and Angela Chang.
On Thursday (May 20), Ying-ying took to Facebook to share that Papa Shih started helping out with vaccinations the day before. He is in charge of assessing a patient’s physical condition to determine whether they’re suitable for the jab.
The 41-year-old also paid tribute to all the other medical staff on the frontlines who are selflessly keeping everyone safe, as well as numerous others who quietly contribute to ensuring that life goes on as smoothly as possible, such as online food delivery services.
“I also want to thank everyone who has willingly cut down on social activities, is diligently wearing a mask, and frequently washing their hands,” she continued. “This fight against the pandemic can only succeed with everyone’s cooperation!”
