Taiwanese Host Na Dou, 41, Reportedly In ICU After Brain Hemorrhage Surgery
His manager, however, insists that the star is “fine”.
Taiwanese host Na Dou reportedly suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and was rushed to Taipei’s Cathay General Hospital for emergency treatment on Monday (Jan 24).
According to reports, Na Dou, who just turned 41 on Jan 7, had to be intubated and is now in the intensive care unit after undergoing surgery.
His manager En En told reporters on Monday that the host, whose real name is Lin Yu-chih, is “fine”.
"He was not feeling well in the morning, so he went for a routine check-up. The doctor suggested he rest, so he’s taking a break from [variety show] Students. He’s fine. Thank you for your concern,” said En En.
Later that day, however, Na Dou's uncle, New Taipei Mayor Hou Yu-ih, took to Facebook to call on the public to cheer for the star and help him get through this difficult time.
En En then responded by saying that she had checked with Na Dou's mother, who said that the star is okay.

News of Na Dou's condition came as a shock to many as he had always appeared to be in good spirits and had never mentioned that he had any health issues.
He seemed fine when filming variety show 3 Kingdoms last week and had just celebrated his birthday with pal and former College Talk co-host Ah Ken and actress Amber An a few days ago.
When asked about Na Dou, Ken’s manager replied on his behalf, saying they had just learned about the news but heard that he is fine now.
Na Dou and Tseng Tzu Yu on Super Taste - 2 Days 1 Night Go
According to reports, Na Dou was supposed to shoot travel series Super Taste - 2 Days 1 Night Go with Tseng Tzu Yu from Jan 25 to 28. Tzu Yu’s mentor, actor Frankie Huang, has since agreed to fill in for the Na Dou.
Na Dou became a household name after hosting variety show College Talk with Ken and Matilda Tao from 2007 to 2016. He won the Golden Horse Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2020 for his role in Classmate Minus.
