Taiwanese Rapper E.so Marries Photographer Girlfriend, Once Defended Her From Trolls Who Body Shamed Her

Taiwanese rapper E.so is officially off the market. The 34-year-old, whose real name is Eddie Chen, announced on Instagram yesterday (May 5) that he has tied the knot with his girlfriend Jennifer, 32.

Posting a pic of them holding hands, he wrote: “I’m married. This is my ex-girlfriend, she is very happy at the moment.”

Netizens and celebs pals like Ella Chen and Shou Lou immediately flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages. Even Singapore rapper ShiGGs Shay commented with five heart emojis.

According to E.so’s agency, True Colour Music, the couple have been dating for many years and registered their marriage a few days ago.

Due to the pandemic and work, there are no plans to hold a wedding anytime soon.

“E.so is currently busy preparing for his concert. Thank you all for your well wishes and concern," said his agency.

E.so has always been private about his relationship and little is known about Jennifer other than how she is a photographer and had lived in the United States.

Their relationship became public in 2020 when they were photographed by the paparazzi. When Jennifer’s pic was revealed online, nasty netizens for whatever reason started shaming for her looks, calling her names like “fat” and “ugly”.

Some even said they were better looking than her and that they didn’t understand why a "hunk" like E.so would want to be with her.

E.so immediately took to Instagram to declare his love for Jennifer, calling her his “love, [his] queen, [his] best friend”.

He also replied to some of the salty comments, writing: "Love is determined by whether two people get along and have things in common, not their looks,” and “When the heart is ugly, the behavior will also be ugly."
