Son Of Sylvia Chang Marries Chinese Supermodel in Star-Studded Hotel Ceremony

The son of Taiwanese actress-director Sylvia Chang, 32-year-old artist Oscar Wang, tied the knot this past weekend (Dec 2) with Chinese supermodel You Tianyi, 29. The pair, who dated for seven years, exchanged their vows in a grand ceremony in Hong Kong at Hotel Panorama in the presence of some 600 guests, majority of whom were entertainment industry bigwigs.

Sylvia has been in showbiz for 54 years, while her equally well-connected son is known to be pals with the likes of Jay Chou, Chen Bolin, Eddie Peng, and Wilber Pan.

Taiwanese singer Stella Chang dedicated a performance of ‘Jia Hou’ (家后) to the newlyweds, while Hong Kong star Kenny Bee also expressed his well wishes with a song.

Sylvia and her close showbiz juniors, Rene Liu, and Angelica Lee, were also said to have serenaded the crowd with a joint performance, turning the ceremony into one very exclusive concert.

Taiwanese actor Sunny Wang also made the trip to Hong Kong to witness his pal’s big day. He said in an interview: “I’ve known Oscar for a long time, and I’m really happy for him. I hope he has children soon, ‘cos it’ll be tiring to be a dad when you’re older.”

The wedding was so fancy, guests were also said to have received wedding favours like luxury perfume and La Mer skincare, as well as pastry vouchers.

Other notable names from the night include Carina Lau, Hsu Feng, Raymond Wong, Karl Maka, Olivia Cheng, Chen Bolin, Vanness Wu, Derek Tsang, Beatrice Fang, and Pansy Ho.
