M’sian Singer Syasya, 23, Says She Was Drawn To Her Husband As He Looks Like Da Xiong From Doraemon
Now imagine if he looked like Doraemon.
The shows we watch as kids often leave a deep impression in our minds. But this deep?
Two weeks after leaving girl group Dolla, Malaysian singer Syasya announced that she got married to 23-year-old Nasrullah Mohd Sapie.
A representative from her music label also confirmed that marriage was one of the main factors behind Syasya’s decision to leave the group.
Speaking to Malaysian media F8Buzz in a recent interview, Syasya revealed what drew her to her now-husband.
Turns out, Syasya was a huge fan of Japanese animated series Doraemon in her childhood… and her husband reminded her of the show’s main character Nobita Nobi aka Da Xiong for those who watched the cartoon in Mandarin.
“I am reminded of Doraemon [the show] every time I look at my husband. That’s the reason I was drawn to him.” said Syasya, who got to know Nasrullah through her older brother.
According to reports, Syasya is currently completing her studies in Psychology at the Management & Science University in Selangor.
When asked if she would return to showbiz, Syasya said: “If I have the opportunity to sing again in the future, why not? To me, singing is [part] of my life.”
She also said her decision to leave Dolla was not an easy one as she was very close to the other girls.
