3 Injured After Barricade Collapses At Super Junior’s Seoul Concert
The incident happened near the end of the show when member Ryeowook approached the edge of the stage to interact with fans.
Three fans were injured after a barricade suddenly collapsed during K-pop band Super Junior’s Super Show 10 concert at Seoul’s KSPO Dome, causing them to fall and triggering panic at the venue.
The incident occurred during the last of band’s three-day run on April 5, near the end of the concert. The performances were part of the group’s world tour marking their 20th anniversary since debut.
Videos circulating online show member Ryeowook approaching the edge of the stage during the encore to interact with fans, drawing a crowd toward the railing.
The barricade suddenly gave way, sending a row of fans plunging to the level below.
Ryeowook appeared visibly shaken and immediately rushed to alert staff and seek help.
Concert staff responded quickly, and the injured fans were promptly taken away for medical attention.
According to the band’s agency, SM Entertainment, the fans suffered mainly sprains and bruises and are expected to require about two weeks of rest and treatment.
The company has since issued an apology and pledged to strengthen safety checks at venues to prevent similar incidents.
The concert series had already seen another scare a day earlier. During the April 4 show, member Donghae took a hard fall on stage while performing ‘A-Cha’, after tripping on a lift platform.
He hit the ground heavily and remained down for nearly 30 seconds, prompting immediate concern from fellow member Eunhyuk, dancers, and fans.
Although he appeared to be in pain, Donghae continued with the show after a brief rest.
He later reassured fans explaining that he had intended to lift Eunhyuk and spin him around for his birthday but mistimed it and fell instead.
