Taiwanese actress Summer Meng gave fans a scare when she was hospitalised out of the blue two days ago (Apr 10) and was said to have experienced difficulties in breathing.According to the actress, she started feeling unwell the day before, after wrapping up filming for Taiwanese drama Single Ladies Senior earlier in the afternoon.At that time, she went home to take a nap, thinking her condition will improve after catching some rest. However, she ended up feeling worse than before when she woke up. Sensing something amiss, she heeded her friend’s advice to see the doctor, and headed to the hospital to seek emergency treatment. There, she was diagnosed with pneumothorax (a condition where the lung collapses due to unnatural air flow).“I thought I’ll be given painkillers, but I ended up staying in the hospital for ten hours before I was allowed to leave the next day,” she said.The

got engaged to Taiwanese comedian Mickey Huang, and the pair plans to hold their wedding ceremony in 2020.

“Summer is a very resilient person,” Mickey shared, “I had a press conference in Beijing when she fell ill, and she insisted that I go to work without worrying about her because there was nothing I could do while she receives treatment in the hospital.”
