And just like that, it's been two years since the passing of comedy icon Ng Man Tat. The veteran actor, who was 70, died from liver cancer in February 2021.

As we all know, Man Tat is best remembered for his work opposite Stephen Chow, playing the sidekick to the comedy legend in films such as Hail The Judge (1994) and Shaolin Soccer (2001).

However, the pair fell out in 2004 after Stephen allegedly kept Man Tat's lead actor role in Kungfu Hustle for himself.

Sadly, Stephen and Man Tat did not manage to reconcile before the latter’s death.

And now Stephen has to live with regrets regarding the friendship as he recently revealed on social media.

To celebrate hitting 1mil followers on IG, Stephen told his fans to ask him anything in the comments.

A while later, Stephen took to his Instagram Stories to reply to a question that caught his eye.

“Stephen, do have anything you wish to say to Man Tat?" read the question.

The star's response will make you want to cry.

"I love you, I regret never expressing it in person," he wrote.

No we're not crying...

According to reports, Stephen did not manage to see Man Tat for the last time before the latter succumbed to his illness.

At that time, Stephen was quoted as saying he "still could not accept [Man Tat's death]".

However, Stephen did appear at Man Tat's wake to pay his last respects, which was seen as a reconciliation of sorts between the two.
