Stella Chang Receives S$75.5mil In Assets From Ex-Husband After Divorce

New details of Taiwanese singer Stella Chang’s divorce from banker Sung Hsueh-jen have emerged, and not only are they juicy, they also make us feel very poor.

According to Mirror Media, it was actually Stella who initiated the divorce, not her ex-husband as previously believed. The 53-year-old star had her lawyer file a complaint with the Taipei District Court requesting to end her 15-year marriage to Hsueh-jen and to divide their assets.

The main reason for the divorce was ‘cos Stella felt like she had lost her identity in her marriage and was made to feel like an outsider in her own home due to Hsueh-jen’s controlling behaviour. She reportedly needed to seek his approval before doing anything, and she had once complained about him being too strict and insecure.

Sources claim that Stella felt this way for a long time, but she tried to endure it for the sake of her and Hsueh-jen’s two sons, who are 13 and 14. However, now that the boys are studying abroad and spending more time overseas, she finally made the decision to file for divorce.
