Could Stefanie Sun have asked for a better birthday present? Just two days after celebrating her 40th birthday, the Singapore songbird and her Dutch-Indonesian businessman-husband Nadim Van Der Ros, welcomed their second child into their family. The singer announced on her social media on Monday (July 30) that she gave birth last Wednesday to a 2.79kg baby girl, “whose existence was discovered at our busiest,” the singer wrote.

Stefanie shared this photo of herself carrying her newborn. “Baby girl’s current status: Checking out a whole new world. Parents’ current status: Checking out a whole new girl. Mama’s current status: Hungry. Overall summary: Mother and baby are fine and in good health,” she wrote. She also thanked the doctors, nurses and staff at Thomson Medical Centre for their TLC. This is Stefanie’s second child with Nadim. The couple welcomed their first child, a boy, in Oct 2012.

Happy 40th
Stefanie celebrated her 40th birthday just two days before the birth of her daughter. She shared this pic, and wrote: “20+20 years old, I’m sporting a belly that cannot get any bigger. Although sometimes, I feel breathless, with backaches, plus my feet are swollen and my actions slow, but I still wanted to spend the day happily. My fans are still so passionate, my friends are still so thoughtful, and my family always brings me the greatest happiness. I don’t have any more desires, I just want to eat a slice of cake, put my feet up and chat with my family and friends, and read the comments left by my fans. Thank you everyone for your well-wishes!”
