Stars Who Had Low-Key Weddings

When we think of celeb weddings, we imagine them to be grand, showy celebrations with massive guest lists and wall-to-wall media coverage.
But there are some stars who choose to go low-key for their big day.
Like Rebecca Lim, whose hush-hush wedding on Sunday (Nov 27) to Matthew Webster, whom she got engaged to last November, is true to the actress' modest and understated nature.
Here are other celebs with really private weddings too.
Rain and Kim Tae-hee
Who would have thought that the couple, who are now known as “the richest Korean celebrities in real estate”, would opt for such a low-key wedding at the Gahoe-dong Cathedral in Seoul back in 2017?
Only around 100 close friends and family were invited to the private ceremony and the actor wore a tux that he already owned.
In the end, their wedding only cost them 1.3mil won (S$1,600), which includes the 250,000 won (S$305) they spent on their wedding bands.

The couple held an intimate ceremony, which was only attended by close friends and family, in San Francisco, in March this year.
Even their outfits that day were really simple. Anthony wore a regular grey suit while his wife wore a casual puffy white dress instead of the usual wedding gown.

Shu Qi and Stephen Fung
Another pair of superstars with a really chill wedding.
The couple tied the knot in September 2016 in Prague in front of no more than 20 guests.
The bride wore a dress from H&M, and in their official wedding announcement, wrote: “Yes, our marriage is this simple. Our bridal attire this casual. Our decision this sudden... We won’t have a banquet or party...”

While his wife is the daughter of a Taiwanese leather magnate, the Hong Kong actor still went with a really low-key wedding back in 2017.
The couple, who had dated for a year before tying the knot, held their hush-hush wedding in Melbourne, Australia.

Park Shinhye and Choi Taejoon
The couple got married in a private ceremony at the Oryun Community Church in Seoul in January this year.
Despite that, the wedding was nonetheless a star-studded affair, with a guest list made up of stars such as Lee Minho, FT Island's Lee Hong Gi and Kim Bum.

Song Joong Ki And Song Hye Kyo
The now-divorced couple tied the knot in exclusive wedding ceremony back in 2017, with about 300 close friends and family members in attendance.
In fact, the ceremony was so hush-hush that Korean and Chinese media had to illegally fly drones over the venue to live stream the event.
One of the Chinese news outlets turned out to be Suiyui, whose owner is Wang Feng aka the husband of Zhang Ziyi, who was one of the wedding guests.
Ziyi subsequently had to make a public apology for the illegal recording.
