Wedding bells are ringing for Laurinda Ho, 31.

The daughter of the late Casino King, Stanley Ho, has been publicly dating her Chinese-Canadian actor beau, Shawn Dou, 34, since 2019.

After much anticipation from the media and fans alike, the two are said to be tying the knot this April, on Easter Sunday.

According to an unnamed source, the ceremony, which has been (over?)hyped as the “romantic wedding of the century”, will take place in Bali, and see hundreds of famous personalities and celebrity guests in attendance.

The wedding is also reported to be held at a super private top-secret outdoor location, where stringent security protocols will be put in place. Guests who arrive with invitation cards will be required to prove their identity before being allowed into the venue.

The couple naturally dropped a hefty sum on the wedding. The cost - including the booking and decorating of the venue, Laurinda’s handmade designer gown, and jewellery pieces worth at least a million dollars - apparently comes up to around S$8mil (HKD 50mil).

Apart from family and close friends, invites have been extended to their celebrity pals.

Laurinda’s star-studded bridal party is believed to include G.E.M, Renee Lee Wan, singer JW, Twins and Fiona Sit. Shawn, meanwhile, has invited many Chinese actors.

Besides attending the wedding as Laurinda’s bridesmaid, G.E.M will also perform at the wedding.

Word on the street was that these celebs have all cleared their schedules and turned down work offers to make time for the couple’s big day.

The thoughtful couple also purchased flight tickets and arranged accommodations at a five-star hotel for their guests.

A close friend of Laurinda’s revealed that the couple has been planning the wedding for close to a year now.

They initially considered holding the ceremony at several other venues, including the Château de France, Portugal, and Laurinda’s alma mater, Royal Holloway, University of London.

However, the two eventually landed on a Bali wedding, which best fit their love for the sun and sand.

Said friend also disclosed that the proposal and wedding planning had gone on for such a long time as Shawn was extremely busy with work in the past year.

Following the news of Laurinda’s older sister Florinda’s engagement to her fireman beau last year, Shawn was said to have wasted no time in finally proposing to her.

According to reports, Laurinda and Shawn are currently having their pre-wedding honeymoon in Japan, and will proceed with their Guo Da Li ceremony next month after returning to Hong Kong.

Shawn has also put in plenty of effort to please his future mother-in-law, Ina Chan.

The couple will have a traditional Guo Da Li ceremony, and Shawn has already prepared the luxurious set of abalone, sea cucumber, shark fin, and fish maw, and gold and diamond jewellery worth millions in HKD as dowry for the Ho family.
